We are thrilled to begin our newest monthly blog installment featuring the members of the Haynes Team. Each member of the Haynes Team brings a unique set of capabilities that contribute to the top-tier group of realtors we have at Triangle Realty.

Today, we are featuring Lexy Ethridge.

Originally from Nazareth, Texas, Lexy moved to Canyon to complete her college education at West Texas A&M University. After graduating she has lived in a few different places, but all in either Canyon or Amarillo.

All her immediate family still lives in Nazareth. She is the oldest of three kids; her two brothers are in junior high and are extremely active in extracurriculars. Lexy loves going to their games and events to support them. Her mom is the vice president of the local bank and has an interior design business on the side. Her dad works for the city, as well as farms, and runs cattle. They are certainly a family who loves to stay busy!

Lexy started her real estate journey with the Haynes Team three years ago. She began as the Haynes Team’s marketing intern and was able to see how real estate worked behind the scenes. This glimpse into the real estate world piqued her interest in pursuing her own real estate license. Becoming a realtor married both her love for interior design and beautiful homes into the career she has today.

While working as the marketing intern for Triangle Realty, Lexy saw the incredible family-type environment the Haynes Team offered. She loved and respected the way the business was built and related to the faith-based foundation. Once she passed her licensing exams, she applied and was hired to the team.

Lexy believes that what sets the Haynes Team apart is the connection with the panhandle and west Texas area that each team member has. With such deep local roots, it gives the Haynes Team an advantage in finding the most ideal homes for their clients.

Over the last few years, Lexy has appreciated both the rewarding and challenging aspects of working in real estate. She believes that the most rewarding part of real estate is building life-long relationships with clients. After working so closely with singles, couples, and families, realtors are gifted with the chance to get to know people deeper than just the surface level. The challenges that come with finding a home for a client or finding a buyer for a client’s listing create unique opportunities for the relationships to become stronger over the buying/selling process. Lexy believes that one of the most challenging aspects is all the moving parts that take place in real estate transactions. It requires a high level of cooperation and collaboration between different entities throughout the process to keep all parts moving as they should. Lexy knows that one misstep can derail the timeliness of the whole transaction.

Lexy is no stranger to some common misconceptions about realtors, including what exactly it is that realtors do. One of the most common is that some buyers believe that all that realtors do is send listings to them on Zillow. In reality, the value found in partnering with a real estate agent is found after they have found the home they love. Lexy notes the value of a quality realtor really shines through in negotiation, the prevention of overpaying on a home, and finding the trusted, professional inspectors to prevent buying a home with unforeseen issues. Being a part of the Haynes Team has provided her with the certification of a Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), the only negotiation credential recognized be the National Association of REALTORS®, which increases her value to her clients even more.

When Lexy isn’t working to find her client’s dream homes or negotiating a sale, she can be found reading, playing tennis, remodeling her current home, and attending concerts.

Her favorite local places to eat are Coyote Bluff, Young Sushi “Rocks”, Girasol Café and Bakery, Jorge’s and Roosters.
